Happy New Year
Nothing better to start the year than a Queen tribute concert, or at least that’s what we like to think.
Imagine our surprise when we were informed that we had been hired to entertain a New Year’s Eve party in a town in Castellón, specifically Vinaroz, a place bathed by the Mediterranean Sea and the most important enclave of the Bajo Maestrazgo, Vinaroz is one of the most important tourist destinations of the beautiful Costa del Azahar and we inaugurated the New Year with our show in an idyllic place next to the Mediterranean Sea.
The event
We arrived on the 31st in the afternoon and we went to the place where the event would take place where there were two marquees set up for the occasion where there would be different atmospheres in each of them.
We did the sound checks, had dinner with the organisers, workers and other artists and of course at twelve o’clock we ate the grapes and toasted wishing everyone a happy new year.
The party begins
Then in the marquee where our concert would take place a DJ started to entertain the evening with music from the 70’s and 80’s while the place started to fill up with people arriving.
At around 1:00 our moment arrived, despite the cold weather we began to warm up the atmosphere with One vision followed by Tie your mother down accompanied at all times by a spectacle of lights and spotlights worthy of one of those great occasions as it was in this case and a screen where they were parading images of Queen and videos that complement our show.
As always during the show we made the audience sing along and we finished with the anthems We will rock you and We are the champions.
